Feeling stuck? Build your crew

Hey Reader,

Tapping into the perspectives of people *not* in our organization can help us deepen our own bank of strategies.

🔥 They expose our blind spots and help us strengthen ourselves as self-leaders.

🔥 They teach us ways we can bring different parts of ourselves to the leadership of our institution.

When you're feeling stuck in the weeds, put some energy into building your crew: A group of intimate thought partners, colleagues, friends, peers, mentors, etc.

This is a group of people that you can turn to for information and guidance. They are the people who will sit with you in deep thought...celebrate with you and cheer you on...help you avoid distractions... challenge you to take that next step in the direction of your goals

Here are a few low-hanging-fruit ways to create and sustain a crew of your own:

>> Start a mastermind

>> Hold a series of brain trusts

>> Do targeted listening tours

These are just a few easy-to-implement strategies for recruiting and building a network that strengthens you as a leader. Check out my podcast episode about how to test these in your own life!

Before Elevate, her org was raising money, but only...

Hi Reader :) Let’s be real—leading a nonprofit right now isn’t for the faint of heart. 😳 Between economic uncertainty, shifting donor priorities, and increasing scrutiny, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly playing defense instead of strategically growing. But here’s the thing: you don't have to just survive 👉🏾 you CAN navigate these uncertain times with a sense of confidence and stability. In my new workshop, I'm sharing the 3 core strategies that successful 7-figure nonprofits are...

Hi Reader, I was talking to a close friend a few months ago and I mentioned ChatGPT -- she literally rolled her eyes 🤣 Not in the mean "why are you talking" kind of way... More as if to say "I just don't get it." 😊 And I realized something. She and I were living in totally different ChatGPT movies. 🎥 The title of her movie was something like "Offline: The Story of a ChatGPT Skeptic." My movie? "Digital Dreams: A Life Transformed by ChatGPT!" 🔥 When I shared with my friend how I had actually...
